“Six Hundred Bucks Well Spent”
Do you know whats this is? Sub Pop has scanned and uploaded to their Tumblr a copy of Nirvana‘s initial record contract, an endearingly simple little piece of paper. The two-year agreement, for three full albums, gets especially good when you see how much money Sub Pop had to pay for Nirvana for its initial one-year term advance: a whopping $600.
“Six hundred bucks well spent– not that we had it at the time,” Sub Pop write on Tumblr.
